Walmart Trip:
Well, I already blogged about the major wipe savings. The remainder of the Walmart trip is mostly just impulse purchases. One of my major goals as I have started couponing is to cut down and hopefully eliminate the amount of impulse shopping I do. Before, (as in, before I learned the error of my ways) I would just go to the store whenever we were low on food and wander the aisles, putting things into the cart that looked good. Now, I keep telling my husband that I feel almost bad paying full price for ANYTHING, because with a little time I'm sure I could find a coupon for just about anything we want to buy.
Moving on, I bought the 2 Frappuccinos (used $1/1 coupons) and the copy of All You magazine (a must have for serious couponers!) and a 2 pack of sports bras ($10). I can't find the receipt to tell you the total savings, but for all of that, plus the 16 boxes of wipes, I paid $20.36.
Summary:
After rebates, I spent $49.22 on everything in the picture (plus the 2 Gogurts not pictured) I feel pretty good about that!

Wipes
On June 6th, there was a coupon in the P&G insert in the newspaper. Anyone who coupons seriously (and a lot of people who don't!) heard about it. It was a high value coupon. If you have a baby, or will have a baby, or might, someday, possibly have a baby, you wanted this coupon, and lots of copies!
On June 5th, I went on Ebay and found a wonderful lady selling 20 copies of the $2/1 Pampers Wipes (60 ct or higher) coupon for $8.50. That works out to 42.5 cents apiece. I immediately hit "Buy it Now" and waited eagerly for my coupons to arrive. Within a few days, they were here! She even threw in a bunch of extra coupons, probably to entice me to buy from her again. (It worked)
Now, the important thing to know about this special $2 coupon is that Walmart sells the 64 ct of Pampers Sensitive and Baby Fresh wipes for $1.97. This means that if you use your coupon at Walmart, you will pay only tax on each tub of baby wipes (approx $0.17 where I live-tax is 8.5%) If your Walmart allows for overage, you will even get $0.03 taken off the rest of your bill for each tub you buy. (Overage can't be applied to tax!)
So, with coupons in hand, I headed to Walmart. This is what happened...
Yes, that is 16 tubs of wipes. I had previously used 6 of the coupons at Target, and still had a few left after this deal. After tax, I paid about $0.59 a tub. With three children (ages 3 and under!) two of which are still in diapers, I consider this a great deal!
